Comprimo is part of Worley’s Technology Solutions Business Unit, concentrating on Gas treating and Sulphur Recovery Technology.
To help our continuous growth, Comprimo is currently hiring for a Business Development (BD) Manager who will be responsible for the sale of Comprimo Gas treating and Sulphur Recovery Technology in the Middle East region.
The BD Manager is expected to develop a knowledge of the ME oil and gas business and travel around the region meeting potential customers and connecting to and maintaining Comprimo’s positive relationships with existing customers. The BD Manager is the local focus for Comprimo’s ME clients and in most cases the first point of contact for new business enquiries. All with the objective to bring in engineering work and licenses for the Comprimo technology portfolio.
You will be part of the Comprimo sales team that comprises of a total of five Outside Sales professionals and four Inside Sales professionals. The rest of the Comprimo teams (both BD as well as operations) are based in the Netherlands (The Hague), England (London), Canada (Calgary) and the USA (Los Angeles). The Sales support will come from the Hague and London teams as well as legal counsel support when working on contracts. As BD Manager, you will also be tasked to work on proposals (commercial part), sales strategies, customer relations and development and contracts together with the Comprimo leadership team, the BD team and the dedicated legal counsel for Comprimo.
Key experience would be having a technology background (process engineering) to understand the technology Comprimo is selling and being able to handle customer discussions on prospects and proposals without the constant need of a process specialist to accompany the BD person on trips through the ME region.
Specific experience in Gas treating and Sulphur recovery would be a big benefit
Experience in interactions with customers, Business Acumen and contract handling knowledge
Experience in negotiation
Ability to work in a team while located remotely
Integrate the local Worley network in the region to develop and growth the right connections both locally as well as internationally.
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Process technology background
Experience in BD role with customer connection and interfaces
Contract handling experience
Fluent in English language
