Jacobs has a strong track record in helping many of the world’s global cities develop visionary strategic designs and due to continued investment within the region our Middle East operation now seeks an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who is keen to gain exposure on large scale design projects as well as work with some of the largest clients in the GCC.

Working as Senior Quantity Surveyor you will prepare a wide range of cost estimates to support our portfolio of Transport and Logistics projects. Based in Dubai, you’ll Lead the quantity surveying efforts for rail and metro projects, with a focus on electromechanical systems including signaling, power supply, communications, etc. You’ll actively Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements, specifications, and technical details for accurate quantification and estimation. You’ll prepare detailed and accurate quantity take off and Bills of Quantities (BoQ) in alignment with project needs. You’ll be a key contributor and prepare detailed and accurate quantity take off and Bills of Quantities (BoQ) in alignment with project needs alongside cost estimation to provide reliable and realistic project cost projections, considering all factors that contribute to project expenses. You’ll tap into both your creative and analytical sides in this role as you develop reports and presentations as well as analyze historical data.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

As a successful candidate you will have a degree quantity surveying, Electromechanical, or Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.

You will also possess: –

Experience as Senior Quantity Surveyor/ Quantity Surveyor.
Minimum of 5 years’ consultant experience.
Experience in metro or rail projects is advantageous
Experience working for MEP/ Electromechanical Contractor (working in Estimation Team) advantageous (although not required)
Pre-contract experience – Experienced in quantity take-off, preparation Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and cost estimations
Experienced in using CESMM3 or 4 and POMI methods of measurement.
Technical experience – Strong technical understanding of electromechanical systems including signaling, power supply, communications
MRICS advantageous (although not required)
