The Planning & Scheduling Engineer will be competently performing aspects of Project Controls scheduling activities.

• Maintaining a Primavera E/C Schedule
• Interacting with discipline leads to obtain schedule updates
• Development of cost and scheduling reports
• Creation of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and development of schedules and budget data (including resource loading) for those WBS elements
• Collecting, interpreting and inputting schedule data into the project control database and providing output to the project team
• Supporting the management of all project correspondence
• Interfacing with the project technical staff to define scope of work, need for change to budgets and schedules, and identification of variances from the original plan
• Managing and maximizing project margins
• Develop and maintain detailed, resource loaded schedules based upon the requirements identified by the projects Task Order
• Responsible to ensure schedules/budgets are kept progress updated regularly
• Responsible for performing baseline schedule maintenance and control
• Identify and analyse associated schedule, resource conflicts and potential cost impacts and issues
• Support variance analysis, problem identification, development and implementation of corrective actions and development of narratives to support monthly reporting
• Interpret and analyse schedule variances and interface with the cost analyst to establish the relationships between the scheduled activities and cost performance information

Here’s what you’ll need:

• BS degree in an Engineering, Construction Management, Business or Finance discipline or equivalent experience
• 8 years professional experience preferred
• Discipline specific professional registration preferred (PMP, PMI, ICE, RICS)
• Extensive hands-on experience with Primavera Project Planner P3 Ver. 4.3 or P3e/c
• Hands-on experience with resource loading & earned value management systems
• Experience with Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project Software
• Must be able to work independently, and accept responsibility and demonstrate appropriate judgement
